Shrikant Kadam (b. 1985) is a Mumbai-based artist whose work seamlessly blends traditional Indian art forms with modern abstract expressionism, spanning over 22 years. Influenced by India's exuberant culture and diverse traditions, Kadam’s artistic journey reflects a deep-rooted connection to his heritage and a profound exploration of universal human experiences. He refers to his work as 'nature abstracts,' intricately examining the diverse hues and colors prevalent in the natural world.

His abstract compositions serve as eloquent tributes to Mother Nature, capturing the essence of landscapes through a prism of imagination. Each artwork pulsates with the rhythms of changing seasons, exploring seasonal textures, light, sounds, and vibrations with a rich interplay of color, texture, and light that exudes reverence for flora and fauna. Kadam's oeuvre navigates themes of spirituality, identity, and the human condition, employing spiritual symbolism and vigorous brushstrokes that evoke raw emotion. His strokes are free and expressive, mirroring the vast expanse of the firmament and capturing the essence of his soul. Kadam's artistic practice melds traditional Indian motifs with contemporary abstract techniques, resulting in visually arresting and conceptually profound pieces. His reinterpretation of nature as a repository of mystery and beauty unfolds on canvases where unseen colors and forms animate in a poetic dialogue.

His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Fine Arts (2008) and a Master of Fine Arts (2010) from the College of Fine Art, Pune, where he graduated with top honors. He also holds a Diploma in A.ED. from the Directorate of Art, Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai (1996). Kadam's artistic journey has been distinguished by prestigious accolades, including the Nag Foundation Scholarship in Germany and France (2006), the 'Abhyudaya Sanman' by Kalavart Nyas, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh (2003), and the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition Award (1998). He has received 25 state and national awards and exhibited his works in over 15 solo shows, including at Waves Art Gallery, Pune, and Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. His work has also been featured in group shows globally, including galleries in the United Kingdom, Indonesia, France, and India.
