Anupam Pal (b. 1991) from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, began his artistic journey under the mentorship of his grandfather, Bhobesh Chandra Ghosh. He has developed a celebrated career, focusing on Indian-style painting with distinctive styles and forms. As a rising artist, he is dedicated to redefining artisanal culture.

Anupam Pal’s art is a striking fusion of traditional Indian aesthetics and contemporary techniques, merging the old and the new into a vibrant tapestry. His method involves layering and adding color to create depth, meticulously capturing details such as light, shading, and form. Known for his innovative mixed media approach, Anupam combines classical painting with modern techniques while staying true to Indian cultural motifs. His work is deeply influenced by figures and figurines, which serve as themes embodying various human emotions. Through spontaneous brushstrokes and dynamic color use, he infuses his canvases with movement and vitality. Anupam’s celebrated 'DIAM ART' series and spiritual paintings offer a modern twist on timeless themes, reflecting spiritual essence and emotional depth with rich colors and intricate patterns. The 'Radha Krishna' series, in particular, explores this classic love story through a contemporary lens. His 'Conservation' series tackles societal attitudes towards women, delving into themes of tradition, responsibility, and personal freedom, and serves as a visual critique of prevailing conservative sentiments.

Anupam’s educational background includes a six-year diploma in Fine Arts from the Tagore Academy in Jamshedpur and ongoing studies in 3D Animation and VFX at MAAC (Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics) in Kolkata. His artistic prowess has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Junior Artist of the Year Award from Dipaka Art and Trust (2008) and the Artist of the Year Award from the Jharkhand Government (2008). He also received accolades at the Florence Biennale (2015) and participated in notable exhibitions at Nandalal Bose Art Gallery (2011) and Shilpangan Kala Niketan (2013, 2014). His awards from the Reninson Artist and Writer Association include a 3rd place (2010), a 2nd place (2011), and he was honored with the Birla Academy Award in Kolkata (2013). His group exhibitions span prestigious venues across India and internationally, further solidifying his reputation as a leading contemporary artist.
