Naman Mahipal (b. 1993) based in New Delhi, India is a visionary artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries through the exuberant interplay of mythology, emotion, and modern aesthetics. Despite being congenitally hearing-impaired, Mahipal’s artistic journey is fueled by a profound passion for expression and a relentless drive to capture the essence of human experience. His unique perspective is deeply influenced by his early fascination with facial themes and religious iconography, reflecting his mother’s spiritual teachings and wisdom.

Mahipal’s artistic oeuvre is characterized by a distinctive fusion of traditional and contemporary elements.  Naman Mahipal specializes in creating sculptures primarily using wood and steel, his preferred mediums. In addition to these, he employs acrylics, charcoal pencils, and ink in his diverse range of art forms. His process begins with designing a 3D model based on an abstract concept, followed by the intricate journey of transforming this conceptual idea into a tangible, physical work of art.  His signature style combines meticulous detail with bold, innovative use of color and texture, creating visually compelling pieces.  His renowned series, including "Echoes of Mythos" and "Transcendence," showcase his adeptness at reinterpreting Indian mythology and exploring metaphysical themes with intricate detail and vibrant hues. Naman Mahipal holds a degree in Animation and Multimedia from the Apeejay Institute of Designing and further pursued his passion for art at Apeejay University. His work has been featured in prestigious exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), and prominent art centers in Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In India, his pieces have been showcased at renowned platforms such as the India Art Festival and the Modern Art Gallery. Naman Mahipal has been actively showcased in prominent group exhibitions, reflecting his growing influence in the art world. In 2023, he participated in "India in Art: A Journey Through Contemporary and Modern Indian Paintings Under One Lakh" at Gallery Kolkata. This followed his involvement in "Stories in Art" at the same venue in 2022. Earlier, in 2021, Mahipal was featured in "Modern - Contemporary" at Gallery Kolkata, and in 2020, he took part in "Chirantan - Unique Exhibition of The Art of Indian" at the same gallery.
