Sanjay Chakraborty’s signature prismatic palette beautifully illustrates the architectural splendor of Hampi, once the Vijayanagara Empire’s capital during King Krishnadevaraya's reign in the 16th century. Built as a shrine dedicated to Garuda, the vehicle of Lord Vishnu, the stone chariot from the Vittala Temple complex stands as a symbol of divine power and royal patronage. Carved from granite, its rectangular base features detailed depictions of mythical battle scenes, with two sculpted elephants pulling the chariot. The immovable wheels, adorned with concentric floral motifs, represent the eternal journey of the divine. The foreground highlights elaborately sculpted mandapas, exemplifying the Dravidian architectural style within this UNESCO World Heritage site.
